About Us...

Marvin's Floor Centre, Inc. established in 1987, opened it's doors for business on Centre Street in downtown Cumberland. Several years later Marvin's found its way to 231-237 Virginia Avenue and has been there ever since.   

Owned and operated by Sherrie Marvin, President; along with long-time employee, Amy Stumbaugh, they form a team with knowledge, willingness to take as much time as needed with each customer, and also have design capabilities to assist customers who need help in that area. Your home is an important investment and selecting what goes in it is an important decision; this concept is taken to heart at Marvin's.  

Product knowledge is essential in helping guide a customer to the best floor option for budget, wear and tear, and longevity in their home. All of those factors are considered when assisting customers. 

Not only is Marvin's available to the residential homeowner, but also included are commercial business' flooring needs. Some examples of companies that Marvin's products are installed in are: Chessie Federal Credit Union - downtown location as well as corporate headquarters, Frostburg State University Press Box as well as other areas at the university, Friends Aware new addition, Cintas Corporation, Hunter Douglas...just to name a few.

Marvin's works with many local contractors, and have earned their trust in providing great assistance to their customers. There are many "do-it-yourself" customers who are ready to get on their next project, and Marvin's can assist in not only providing the products to be installed but all the essential components necessary for installation, plus educate the do-it-yourself shopper to ensure a correct installation. If there is a need to not only purchase materials but also have them installed, no worries. Marvin's has sub-contractors available to provide installation services, as well.

Many customers think that products from a privately owned store are going to be out of their budget/price-range. That's not always the case. We have many products that make us competitive with places like Lowes or Home Depot. What you will get from us, also, is the knowledge and assistance that those big stores do not provide. We are here to help anyone who walks through our door, and take the time to do so when needed.
